TFSI− (bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide) is the hydrophobic, wide-window workhorse for batteries and electrochemistry. FSI− (bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide) offers lower viscosity, higher conductivity, and better SEI formation — favored for high-rate and high-voltage cells.
